TRON AML compliance questions

Everything about TRON AML verification, TRC20 risk scoring, sanctions screening and how AML Risk UP works.

What is AML Risk UP?

AML Risk UP is a TRON network tool that gives any TRC20 wallet, USDT TRC20 address or transaction hash an AML risk score from 0 to 100. It also screens for sanctions exposure, mixer usage and other on-chain risk indicators, then returns a report. The first check is free; every check after that is $1.

What is an AML risk score for a TRON address?

It is a single number that summarizes the money-laundering risk indicators found for an address, based on its transaction history, counterparties and links to flagged sources. Lower means fewer indicators; higher means more or more serious ones.

How is the 0–100 risk score calculated?

The engine traces fund flows through the TRC20 transaction graph, screens counterparties against sanctions and watchlists, looks for mixer, dark-market and hack-linked exposure, and combines these signals into one composite score with a category breakdown.

What do the risk levels mean?

Reports group scores into levels such as low, medium, high and critical, each with the factors behind it. Sanctions matches and mixer or dark-market links weigh most; the exact thresholds are shown in your report and API reference.

Which factors raise a TRON address's risk score?

Direct or indirect sanctions links, mixer or tumbler exposure, dark-market links, funds traced to hacks or theft, unregulated gambling, and interaction with high-risk exchanges or non-KYC platforms. Closer and larger exposure generally counts for more.

Does AML Risk UP support USDT TRC20 and TRX?

Yes. It supports USDT TRC20 (Tether on TRON), native TRX and other TRC20 tokens. You can check wallet addresses and transaction hashes, and all token flows are analyzed together for the same address.

How much does a TRON AML check cost?

Your first check is free, no card required. Every check after that is a flat $1, pay-as-you-go with no subscription. API access and bulk screening are priced separately; contact us for a quote.

Is the first check really free?

Yes. Your first TRC20 check returns a full report at no cost and with no credit card. After that, each check is a flat $1, billed per use.

Do I need to connect a wallet to run a check?

No. AML Risk UP never asks you to connect a wallet. You paste a public TRON address or transaction hash and run the check. There is no wallet-connect pop-up, no signing request and no transaction approval.

Does AML Risk UP ever ask for a private key or seed phrase?

Never. A check only needs a public address or transaction hash. Private keys, seed phrases and wallet passwords are not required and should never be entered on any AML checking website.

Where do the live TRX and USDT rates on this site come from?

Market rates are loaded from the public CoinGecko API. They are shown for convenience, for example to estimate what $1 is in TRX, and are not trading advice or a guaranteed execution price.

How often are the exchange rates updated?

Rates refresh automatically about once a minute while the page is open. If the rate service is temporarily unavailable, the page keeps working and shows the last known values until the next successful update.

What sanctions and watchlist sources does AML Risk UP screen against?

Every scan screens the target TRON address and its counterparties against sanctions and watchlist data sources, including major government sanctions lists. Exact source coverage is listed in your account dashboard and API reference.

How fast is a TRON AML scan?

Most TRC20 wallet scans return a result within a few seconds. Wallets with very large transaction histories may take longer to complete a full graph trace. The PDF report is generated as part of the same scan.

What is included in the TRON AML report?

Each report includes the address and network (TRON / TRC20), an AML risk score from 0 to 100, a risk category breakdown, the sanctions result, mixer exposure, a transaction flow summary and a timestamp. It can be exported as PDF or JSON.

Can I automate risk checks with an API?

Yes. AML Risk UP provides a REST API for single address checks and batch requests, with JSON results, plus webhook alerts for monitored wallets. Contact us for documentation and access.

Who should use AML Risk UP?

Anyone handling TRON or USDT TRC20 who needs to assess counterparty risk: exchanges, payment processors, OTC desks, P2P traders, merchants accepting USDT, fintech platforms, and individuals verifying an address before a large transfer.

Can AML Risk UP detect TRON mixer usage?

The scan looks for on-chain patterns consistent with TRON mixing and obfuscation, and traces downstream exposure where flagged funds appear in the analyzed transaction graph, not only in direct transfers.

What is the difference between direct and indirect sanctions exposure?

Direct exposure means the checked address itself appears on a sanctions list. Indirect exposure means it has transacted with a sanctioned entity somewhere in the analyzed graph. The report states which type, if any, was found.

Does AML Risk UP flag stolen or hack-linked USDT?

Yes. Funds that can be traced to a known theft or exchange hack are treated as a high-risk indicator, and the relevant fund-flow detail is shown in the report so you can see where the exposure comes from.

Can AML Risk UP identify ransomware-linked TRON wallets?

Scanned addresses are checked against known ransomware-linked wallet data where available. A match or connection inside the analyzed transaction graph is flagged as a high-risk indicator, with the relevant fund-flow detail shown in the report.

Can a wallet's risk score change over time?

Yes. A score reflects the on-chain data and intelligence available at the time of the check. New transactions, new counterparties or newly flagged addresses can change it, so re-check before large transfers or use monitoring.

Why does my wallet have a high score if I did nothing wrong?

Exposure is not the same as wrongdoing. A wallet can receive funds from a risky source without knowing it. The report shows which counterparties and flows drive the score, so you can explain or dispute them.

Is a low risk score a guarantee that a wallet is safe?

No. A low score means no flagged patterns were found in the analyzed on-chain data at the time of the check. It is one input to your due diligence, not a guarantee, and risk can change as new activity or intelligence appears.

What should I do if a check returns a high-risk score?

Review the factors listed in the report, such as sanctions exposure, mixer usage or dark-market links. Then act under your own compliance policy, for example requesting more due diligence from the counterparty, escalating internally or declining the transaction.

Can I check TRON DeFi wallets and smart contracts?

Yes. You can scan externally owned TRON wallet addresses, including ones that use TRON DeFi protocols. For contract addresses, the report focuses on counterparty risk based on the wallets that funded or interacted with the contract.

How does TRON address monitoring work?

Monitoring subscribes a TRC20 wallet for ongoing review of new activity. If the monitored wallet sends to or receives from a flagged address (sanctioned, mixer-linked or otherwise high-risk), you receive an alert by email or webhook.

Is AML Risk UP aligned with FATF virtual asset guidance?

The report structure follows FATF-style virtual asset risk categories such as sanctions exposure, mixer usage and high-risk counterparties, to support customer due diligence. It does not replace your own compliance program or legal advice.

Are AML Risk UP reports accepted by regulators?

Reports include the details commonly requested in due diligence records: address, network, risk score with category breakdown, sanctions result and a timestamp. Requirements differ by jurisdiction, so confirm with your compliance advisor.

Can I white-label AML Risk UP reports?

White-labeling is available on request for teams that need to present TRC20 due diligence documentation under their own branding. Contact us to discuss enterprise options.

Does AML Risk UP protect user privacy?

AML Risk UP analyzes publicly available on-chain TRON data. No private keys or wallet connections are involved, and scan results are tied to your account and not shared publicly.

How does TRON AML compliance differ from Ethereum AML?

The core checks are the same: sanctions screening, mixer detection and counterparty risk. TRON adds its own patterns, such as very high USDT TRC20 volume, low fees that make rapid layering cheap, and an account-activation model unlike Ethereum's.

What is the Travel Rule and does AML Risk UP support it?

The Travel Rule is the FATF requirement for VASP-to-VASP transfers above a threshold to carry originator and beneficiary information. Enterprise plans can support Travel Rule workflows for TRON VASPs; contact us for details.

Is there a limit to how many TRON addresses I can check?

No hard limit on pay-as-you-go: each check after your free first one is $1. For higher volumes, bulk and API plans offer better per-check pricing; contact us for a quote based on your expected volume.

How do I get started with AML Risk UP?

Paste a TRC20 wallet address, USDT TRC20 address or transaction hash into the scanner above and run your free first check. No wallet connection is needed, and no card is required for the first scan.
